4 Strategies to Create 3D Printed Etsy Bestseller Listings.

Ok… this is crazy.

So I’m working from Panera Bread right now. I’m not a coffee drinker but I am a bread eater so Panera is more my speed.

I come here almost once a week to work on writing my YouTube videos. I need to get out of my Print Farm because if I don’t I get distracted by prints, fulling orders and a whole day goes by and all I did was work “in” my farm instead of “on” my 3D printing business.

I finished my YouTube script but was in a good deep work flow so I decided to go give posting on on the 3D Printing Subreddit another go.

I posted on it about a month ago.

My post was titled “4 Years of Advertising 3D Prints on Etsy, Everything I’ve learned”

In the first 12 hours it got over 300k views before it was removed by the moderators and I was perma banned from the subreddit.

I’d share the post but like I said it was removed.

Essentially I just talked about all the things I’ve learned using Etsy Ads for the past 4 years.

As you can see by the up votes some people loved it but I guess enough didn’t that it triggered the removal followed up with my banishing from the subreddit.

I talked to a mod and go un-banned. They said one a post gets enough reports the system auto removes it. He said I was “one the line” for self promotion.

Keep in mind I never linked out of reddit. Never shared my shop name, Patreon or Thangs profiles. I was genuinely just trying to share my 4 years worth of knowledge around Etsy Ads.

So to be honest I’ve been a little gun shy to post again.

A month has gone by and I thought I’ll post again. This post was titled “Strategies to Create 3D Printed Etsy Bestseller Listings…Any Tips I’m Missing?”

I thought this is the one, how could anyone have a problem with this. Something like 50% off all users with a 3d printer have thought about selling prints. Everyone will find this valuable.

Surprise, surprise the post was instantly removed.

I’ve come to the determination that all the 3D Printing subreddit wants is memes and pictures of Pokemon or Star Wars prints. There isn’t any real desire to post topics of discussion.

So enter this newly created newsletter. The plan is to use this platform for things just like this. My random updates on all things 3D printing, Etsy, Content Creation. What I find awesome and want to share and what bugs me.
